This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Clinical Standards and Quality, Information Systems Group (ISG).
As a Product Development Specialist, GS-0301-13, you will will continuously deliver value to CMS and its related stakeholders through the design, implementation, and ongoing management of key digital products and data services.
Duties
Advocate on behalf of the user to the development team and liaise with program counterparts to translate customer needs into requirements that will lead to the development of product features.
Facilitate an agile software development process to drive towards predictability and consistency in delivery.
Track dashboard metrics and user satisfaction to measure performance and functionality of products, services, and features.
Define the program strategy, based on new information, product performance on key metrics, and interaction with key stakeholders.

In order to qualify for the GS-13, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include:1) Leading cross-functional teams to deliver user-centered innovative products; 2) Using agile methodologies (preferably Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)) and modern software development practices proficiently; AND 3) Managing strategic and organizational goals.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
