Duties

As a Pathways Student Trainee (Management Clerk), you will be responsible for supporting staff and performing a variety of routine work, such as: Participating in activities involving internal administrative operations, organizations, or management. Preparing materials for operational analyses, cost studies, and/or equipment utilization. Assisting in preparing work plans and drafting reports. Performing limited management analysis assignments that are developmental and recurring in nature. Student Internship program: These positions are being filled under the Pathways-Internship Program, which provides opportunities for high school, vocational and technical, undergraduate, graduate, and professional students to gain work experience while pursuing their education. Position Duration/Expectation: HRSA is seeking qualified student employees to participate in the Pathways Internship Program under indefinite appointments. Appointment is based on continued needs/funds for the position and your continued compliance in the Pathways Intern Program. This is a developmental program while you complete your education. After successful completion of the program requirements, you may be non-competitively converted to a term position (not to exceed 1-4 years), or a permanent position in the competitive service. However, in some situations a conversion may not be a guarantee. Work Schedule: You may work a full-time or part-time schedule. Part-time hours are typically 16-32 hours per week. The work schedule will be established so that it does not interfere with the academic schedule during the school year. Requirements

• U. S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be at least 16 years of age by the closing date of the announcement.
• Requires a trial period for the duration of the program.
• Must be a student in an accredited educational program.
• Males ages 18 through 25 must be registered with the Selective Service.
• If selected, you must sign a HRSA Pathways Participant Agreement.
• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
• Employment is subject to the successful completion of the pre-appointment process (i.e., background investigation, verification of qualifications and job requirements, completion of onboarding forms, submission of required documents, etc.)

ELIGIBILITY and QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET BY THE CLOSING DATE: 03/05/2024 PATHWAYS STUDENT INTERN PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY: You MUST be either accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree or certificate in a qualifying educational institution on a half- to full-time basis (as determined by the educational institution) beginning the next available school term to qualify for this program. Enrollment must be in an accredited high school, community college, vocational or technical program, undergraduate, graduate, or professional program that culminates in a diploma, certificate or degree. NOTE: To be considered eligible for this Pathways program, you MUST provide proof of acceptance or current enrollment in a qualifying educational institution for Fall 2024. Minimum Age Requirement- You MUST be at least 16 years of age by the closing date of the announcement. Employees selected for this position are eligible for promotion up to the GS-8 grade level while in the Pathways Program. The advancement of Interns to higher-graded positions, prior to conversion, is strictly at the agency's discretion. To qualify for promotions, the Interns must have the same level and type of experience and/or education usually required for an initial appointment. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must provide education documents to support level of education claimed. For the GS-1: Enrollment in a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) program. For the GS-2: Completed high school or GED diploma. For the GS-3: Completed 1 full academic year of post-high school study. For the GS-4: Completed 2 full academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree. Grade-point averages will be rounded to one decimal place. Education

Education Documentation Required: Verification of student status and education level must be submitted with your application. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted in the application package.
