Serves as an Airway Transportation Systems Specialist (NAS Area Specialist) at the D10 TRACON Service Operations Center (SOC). Performs a variety of functions directly related to the operations of the NAS. Focus is on the availability and reliability of the services and products provided to the users of the NAS.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • Must provide Supervisor's Endorsement by the closing date of announcement.
  • Supervisor's Endorsement is required for a permanent promotion.
  • An endorsement is not required if ingrade or downgrade.
  • A valid Drivers Liscence is required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the requirements stated below:Specialized Experience: Applicants must provide a resume which demonstrates and/or show that you possess the specialized work experience in your work history. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate an extensive knowledge of and experience in technology system interrelationships, and management of civilian or military automation aviation, navigation, and electronics systems. Applicants must show experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility that is appropriate to the position. Generally, experience at the next lower level (pay band H/Career Level III or equivalent), meets the minimum qualification requirements as long as your experience supports the "Demonstrated Abilities" identified within the "Application Questionnaire" section.Demonstrated Abilities: Applicants MUST provide narrative responses for each Demonstrated Ability listed within this announcement.
