Duties
**THIS POSITION CAN BE MADE PERMANENT WITHOUT FURTHER COMPETITION.**
Managing and processing time and attendance cards; receiving, reviewing, sorting, and routing incoming correspondence; preparing administrative reports; complying with administrative requirements; and establishing and maintaining filing systems that contain sensitive information.
Tracking the status of action items; coordinating and maintaining an office calendar; and participating in projects that identify the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations.
Ordering supplies and tracking expenses, processing payments; tracking inventory, and maintaining property records.
Receiving and screening visitors and telephone calls for office personnel.
Composing and reviewing official messages, reports, documents, and correspondences.
Requirements

- Relevant experience and/or education
- Favorable background investigation
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
At the GS-8 level Qualified candidates must possess:
1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 level or equivalent experience.
Specialized experience is experience that is directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, for example: Experience drafting correspondence and other documents with sensitive information; reviewing and processing mail, creating, and maintaining a classified filing system; utilizing standard office equipment and software; maintaining inventory and ordering supplies; supplies; scheduling and arranging meetings; preparing, maintaining, and auditing time and attendance records; and responding to inquiries.
