Duties
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for a full range of Human Resources duties. Typical work assignments will include:
-Performing position analysis to determine organizational requirements
-Classifying general schedule positions-Determining recruitment strategies
-Determining recruitment strategies and posting job announcements
-Providing advice and assistance on performance management
-Providing assistance in the administration of benefits programs
-Administering guidance on pay and leave-Identifying training and development needs
-Processing personnel actions
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation
- You must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable.

- If selected, you may be required to complete a one year probationary period.

Qualifications
GS-12: To be eligible at the GS-12 level, you must meet one full year of specialized experience as defined below.
Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. Specialized Experience is defined as providing comprehensive management advisory and technical services; applying analytical and problem solving methods and techniques; and presenting findings or recommendations related to staffing and recruitment and two or more of the following areas: position classification, employee relations and performance management, employee benefits, and human resources development
Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP)-The CTAP provides eligible surplus and displaced competitive service employees in the Department of Justice with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
