Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado is searching for Senior Operations Research Analyst for the 4 TES (NH-1515-03, GS12/13 Equivalent).
Description:
The 4 TES Operation Research Analyst leads, plans and advises development of test operations research methods, analysis and procedures for Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) of spectrum effects programs including Satellite Communications (SATCOM), Global Positioning System (GPS), and Electronic Warfare (EW). They define operational test and evaluation criteria, missions and environments ensuring systems, worth upwards of $1B, meet user needs and requirements. They conduct advanced statistical analysis to assess system effectiveness, suitability & survivability for acquisition decision makers; O-6 through O-9. They also coordinate OT&E status, methodology, and results with HQ USSF, HQ STARCOM, SSC, Field Commands, Space Staff, and OSD.Analysts will utilize JMP, R, Python, SQL, AF VAULT tools, design of experiments, and statistical analysis. Creativity and inquisitiveness are highly valued and encouraged, and the chance for analysts to attend conferences, classes, and programs to broaden their knowledge base are particularly prioritized. Analysts are encouraged to use their work to improve the broader DAF Analytic Community.
Ideal Candidate:
Operations Research Degree and/or experience. APDP T&E Level II. Experience in space DOT&E oversight operational testing, space sustainment and modernization operational testing, and space system developmental testing. Active TS/SCI Clearance highly desired.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S Citizen.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI clearance.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- Random drug testing may be required depending upon the position being filled.
- This position is eligible for telework 2-4 days a pay period.
- PCS and recruitment funding may be available.
