As a Senior Advisor, you will serve the Regional Commissioner for the National Capital Region (NCR), Public Buildings Service (PBS), in the General Services Administration (GSA).We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Assess and improve program effectiveness, complex management processes, projects and systems utilizing qualitative and/or quantitative methods. Monitor technical aspects of programmatic issues to ensure successful completion, recommending changes or solutions to problems or redirection of effort.
Identify, lead, conceive, recommend and participate in regional, national and/or international special projects or studies, work groups, task forces and panels, focusing on unprecedented problems, policy making and shaping the future direction of agency programs.
Provide administrative direction and guidance to staff by setting and adjusting priorities and schedules for work completion, establishing and evaluating performance standards and identifying personnel requirements and training needs.
Develop, implement and modify research, objectives and policies to resolve problems, employ best industry practices and advance program objectives.

The GS-15 salary range starts at $163,964 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or higher in the Federal service analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of business functions and resource allocation. This experience must also include leading or managing employees on project or program teams.
