Duties

You will provide analytical support to law enforcement. You will obtain and analyze criminal information from law enforcement personnel, various law enforcement databases, and open sources in support of law enforcement positions. You will establish and maintain databases of past and current CRIMINT products and develop future products when practical. You will coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in support of greater regional law enforcement investigations, operations, and initiatives. You will ensure all information utilized for CRIMINT purposes is collected, analyzed, and disseminated in accordance with pertaining laws and orders.

  • This position is subject to shift work. You will be subject to 24-hour recall and will maintain a 24-hour recall notification numbers and is required to respond per installation policy and standard operating procedures.

  • You must be able to read, write , and speak English.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Anaylysts (IALEIA) approved Crime Analyst training per DoDI 5525.18 within the first 12 months of hire date.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Failure to meet conditions of employment may result in disciplinary action or termination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: proficiency in techniques to research, analyze, and interpret diverse criminal intelliogence data, identifying trends and patterns for ongoing investigations. Skilled in using software programs for creating detailed reports. Familiarity with DCII and understanding of CJIS management. Ability to utlize OSINT to support inbestigative effotrs. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Have successfully completed a Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree

OR

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LLB., or J.D. (if related). Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

OR

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Possess a combination of specialized experience and education that equates to one year of experience.
