About the Position: The Credentialing Specialist assists the SHARP Director on the Army's SHARP credentialing requirements. The incumbent leads administrative support implementing the congressionally mandated program to ensure all military and civilian professionals, who perform victim advocacy duties, meet certification requirements outlined in policy.
Relocation incentive MAY be authorized subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations.
Duties
Oversee DoD Sexual Assault Advocate Certification Program (D-SAACP) Assessment and Reporting.
Oversee operational functions related to the Department of Defense Sexual Assault Advocate Certification Program (D-SAACP), victim advocacy, and assistance strategy objectives.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of Commanders and SHARP professionals worldwide, providing instruction regarding policies and procedures to submit new and renewal D-SAACP applications to HQDA, G9, SHARP Program Management Division.
Develop a list of Army-wide approved education and training, provided by civilian partners, particularly those which would allow Soldiers access from anywhere in the world.
Assist the SHARP Director, Deputy Director, and Program Management Branch Chief in the execution of D-SAACP, Victim Advocacy, and VRI is a crucial aspect of the incumbent's role.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position may require temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 20% of the time.
- Background checks against all records prior to duty in the position, and, IAW governing regulations, on a recurring basis while employed in the position.
- Minimum of a Tier 3 background investigation, or equivalent, and enrollment in Continuous Evaluation are required.
- State Criminal History Repository check is required for all states of residence in the previous five and/or up to ten years.
- Required to self-report civilian arrests, the filing of criminal charges, and/or convictions of any criminal offense to their supervisors.
- Within six months of employment must successfully complete required Sexual Harassment and Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) training and obtain and maintain D-SAACP.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting thorough review of Sexual Assault Advocate Certification Program Assessment and Reporting processes to ensure compliance with Federal law and OSD guidance; interpreting basic legislation and policies into program goals, actions, and/or services; and developing communications and/or studies for Army and OSD senior leaders to deliver briefings which require analysis and explanation of complex interrelated issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
