You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGER (INSPECTOR) in the COMMANDER, NAVY INSTALLATIONS COMMAND, FLEET AND FAMILY READINESS (N9), of NAVSTA GREAT LAKES IL.

Duties

You will conduct inspections of facilities to determine cleanliness and need for maintenance. You will coordinate the military family housing, and PPV management programs to assure adequate services and facilities are provided. You will respond to occupant problems and complaints to provide solutions for resolutions. You will investigate resident concerns and complaints and implement corrective measures. You will create written documents to outline recommendations for modifications or alterations.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Maintain PPV liaison correspondence and records, submit required reports promptly and accurately; 2) Investigate complaints related to housing facilities to determine the appropriate method of accomplishing maintenance or repair work; 3) Notate key findings, prepare reports, memorandums and letters; 4) Work closely with public-private venture (PPV) partner to solve complex problems (e.g. housing, tenants, services, utilization and designation of quarters) to ensure the Project Manager (PM) prepares and executes in a timely manner; and 5) Brief higher-level officials on PPV issues both orally and in writing. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
