You will serve as a Housing Manager in the Housing Department of NAVSTA GREAT LAKES IL.

Duties

You will develop and implement long-range plans for the construction and/or renovation of a variety of family housing assets and facilities. You will develop community plans and designs and review designs for renovations and new constructions. You will plan and oversee the execution of inspections, audits, and management reviews of site activities, including physical security. You will serve as the spokesperson to interface between installation management, the Public-Private Venture (PPV) Business Entity, and tenants. You will provide a review of the Annual Budget for PPV operations and make recommendations to the Region Representative. You will mediate tenant-landlord concerns and complaints. You will plan, prioritize, schedule and assign work to the staff based on difficulty of work and capabilities and grade levels of staff, directly and through subordinate supervisors. You will hear and resolve complaints and refer complaints to higher levels. You will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying federal, state and local laws, ordinances, regulations and codes relating to construction, location, operation and utilization of housing projects and facilities to direct and coordinate the management, maintenance and repairs of a complex federal housing operation; Experience applying program planning techniques, financial management and budgeting policies, principles and procedures to develop long-range plans and execute budgets to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met; Experience responding to data calls, developing justifications, preparing briefings in response to requirements from higher-level authority officials and local/regional private sector and government officials pertaining to family housing assets; AND Experience communicating verbally and in writing to provide information to others and respond to taskers.
