About the Position: This position serves as the expert of military personnel management programs, policies and procedures, for United States Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA), at Fort Detrick, Maryland.

Duties

Serve as the United States Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA) expert of military personnel management programs, policies and procedures. Manage a variety of military personnel management programs and systems in support of Soldiers dispersed throughout several OCONUS and CONUS locations. Provide staff advice and consultation to all on proposed personnel initiatives, new or revised policies and procedures impacting the command's military personnel programs. Advise and briefs proposed initiatives, new or revised policies and procedures impacting the command's military personnel program.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
