This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence-Intelligence Analysis. As an Intelligence Operations Specialist (Senior Infoshare Officer), you will serve as a senior officer responsible for supporting Treasury policy and enforcement initiatives by negotiating cleared language requests.
Duties
Pursuant to 50 USC 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the Intelligence Community within the Department of the Treasury.
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. As an Intelligence Operations Specialist (Senior Infoshare Officer), you will:
Review/edit/coordinate and authorize/deny the declassification/downgrade/release of intelligence and other products in accordance with established applicable foreign disclosure policies and regulations.
Ensure declass/downgrade/release requests are in accordance with all applicable foreign disclosure regulations, guidance, policies, and executive orders.
Maintain a close and continues staff relationship with other Intelligence Community FDOs and establish a working relationship with law enforcement personnel with FDO authority in order to provide compliance with all applicable regulations.
Consistently review products in a timely manner, resulting in legal declassification, disclosure and/or release of information in order to enable Treasury policymakers to share information with their foreign counterparts and/or to enable Treasury authorities to be executed for National Security policy aims.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-13: You must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes experience in at least three (3) of the following:
-Verifying the accuracy of declassification/downgrades/foreign disclosure submissions to data owners; OR
-Providing guidance on Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) classification matters, sanitization, downgrading, de-compartmentalization, and operational use; OR
-Applying Intelligence Community dissemination procedures and policies; OR
-Establishing and maintaining interagency contacts required for accomplishing the organizational mission.
Specialized experience for the GS-12: You must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes knowledge of at least two (2) of the following:
-Preparing and reviewing declassification/downgrade/foreign disclosure submissions for accuracy; OR
-Experience with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) classification matters, sanitization, downgrading, de-compartmentalization, and operational use; OR
-Experience with Intelligence Community information dissemination procedures.
