About the Position: Serves as a case analyst within the Army Review Boards Agency, Army Clemency and Parole Board, with duties relating to the corrections, custody and/or parole of Army prisoners, Arlington, VA.
Duties
Interpreting military, federal, and state correctional regulations and procedures.
Applying proper procedures in regard to the Clemency and Parole Board process.
Knowledge in conducting parole hearings.
Preparing briefings to senior military and civilian personnel.
Evaluating cases to develop summaries of the facts for leadership.
Evaluating each case individually to determine its merit.
Making recommendations in regard to clemency, parole, mandatory supervised release or restoration.
Preparing cases for Army prisoners in DoD, federal and state facilities
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes interpreting and applying military, federal, and state correctional regulations and procedures for cases; preparing cases for prisoners to be presented to the law enforcement agencies, state, federal or military clemency and parole boards or equivalent bodies or senior leaders in state, military or federal agencies; evaluating pertinent facts from military, social, criminal, medical reports in case records; and providing case merit recommendations to leadership.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
