This position is located within the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Region 6 / Santa Fe, NM Joint Recovery Office. The Supervisory Management and Program Analyst serves as the Director of Operations for the New Mexico Joint Recovery Office and will report to the Region 6, Deputy Regional Administrator. They are responsible for strategic direction and management of the New Mexico Joint Recovery Office.
Duties
What will I do in this position if hired?
This position is being hired in compliance with the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Fire Assistance Act to staff the New Mexico Joint Recovery Office, including the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Fire Claims Office and Stafford Act programs within FEMA.

To qualify for this Supervisory Management and Program Analyst position at the IC-15 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:
Demonstrating knowledge of the laws, culture, and social vulnerabilities of the state of New Mexico in order to evaluate and tailor the delivery of compensation and disaster recovery assistance to affected communities.
Demonstrating knowledge of complex disaster recovery and the interrelationships between Federal, State, and local government to establish an effective communications network and foster a partnership to ensure the full spectrum of authorized assistance is provided.
Applying expert management skills to lead a dynamic organization in the delivery of disaster assistance and compensation claims.
