Duties

Assign work considering subordinates; capabilities. Develop spend plans and budgets to ensure necessary funds are available for the continued logistical and certification training support of all systems. Coordinate acquisition, repair and calibration of a wide variety of instruments and test equipment. Coordinates with other installations on various logistic and support matters which affect mission accomplishment. Write lesson plans and exams, teaches classes, creates original and updates existing training materials and studies work methods to determine improvements. This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensate injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Incumbent must pass initial pre-employment and annual physical.
  • Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license and any installation and/or DoD license required for the type of vehicle being driven.
  • Incumbent will be required to work a non-standard tour of duty. This may include working nights, weekends, rotating shifts, and/or holidays based upon mission needs to include emergency call back.
  • This position is designated as "key" for mobilization and cannot be filled by an active reservist or retiree with call back orders. Provisions of at 690-08 and AR 690-10 must be followed before either of the above individuals can fill this position.
  • May be required to fly during equipment flight inspection evaluations.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized Experience is defined as experience performing maintenance and troubleshooting of air traffic control communication subsystems and components with radar features that are used in air traffic and ground traffic control of arriving and departing aircraft.
