You will serve as a Supervisory Human Resources Staffing Specialist in the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Human Resources Office of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.
Duties
You will serve as a lead for a team of staffing HR specialists providing service to a geographically dispersed customer base.
You will develop Staffing guidance in the form of Standard Operatizing Procedures (SOP), Internal Operation Procedures (IOP).
You will coordinate and monitor efforts to ensure timely and accurate completion of the team's work.
You will develop and implement strategies to improve initiatives, conduct policy reviews to evaluate effectiveness of current policies and practices, and develop proposals to change policy.
You will serve as an authoritative staff advisor and consultant on the recruitment and placement program.
You will serve as senior staff advisor and consultant for staffing and recruitment programs.
You will establish work assignments to be accomplished by the employees and train junior staff as needed.
You will set priorities, prepare schedules for work completion, and ensure the timely performance of satisfactory work efforts.
Requirements
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing advisory services for recruitment and placement programs, hiring flexibilities, Federal staffing regulations, and having lead federal staffing functions.
