Duties

Responsible for overall management and direction of the Directorate, Morale Welfare and Recreation (DMWR) Business Operations Division. Provides sound leadership and supervision to ensure attainment of the established objectives reviews program objectives and priorities and develop 5-year plan. Develops and/or recommends methods, operations, and programs to ensure profitable business activities income. Directs, develops, and administers plans and procedures Implements, enforces, and ensures compliance with regulations to provide aggressive community business program which meets the needs and interests of the military community.

• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• The ability to obtain (within first six months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency is required.
• Required to file a Confidential Statement of Affiliations and Financial Interest in accordance with requirements of DODD 5500.7 Joint Ethics Regulation.
• Must be available to work: Days, Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
• Attend Team Member Orientation (TMO) within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Work experience directing/managing one or more DMWR Business Operations activities for a garrison, or similar civilian operation, for at least one year. Best Qualified Criteria: 1. Three (3) years of experience as a manager in food and beverage, bowling, or golf. 2. One (1) year of experience managing two or more activities as a manager. 3. Two (2) years of experience as a supervisor to three or more people. 4. Two (2) years of experience in preparing and executing budgets. 5. Two (2) years of experience in inventory control. **NOTE: Applicants who met both minimum qualifications and best qualifying criteria will be referred to the selecting official for consideration first.
