The National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) leads the nation's effort to protect the United States from terrorism by integrating, analyzing and sharing information to drive whole-of-government action and achieve our national CT objectives.
Duties
Compose, edit, and distribute incoming and outgoing communication and taskings; ensure key stakeholder coordination, high-quality and timely deliverables, and conformance with regulations and policies.
Assign action items to appropriate NCTC components, log and track task status, meet deadlines, negotiate extensions to deadlines when necessary, and report status to senior management.
Review and develop responses to email, correspondence, action items, and taskings; monitor response progress, coordination, and collaboration; track internal and external progress against actions. Ensure proper handling of highly classified and limited distribution materials and perform security control officer functions as required.
Continually review, assess, and appropriately adjust Executive Secretariat business practices to gain process efficiencies and improve quality and timeliness of deliverables.
Conduct outreach and training to assist NCTC personnel in responding to taskings, preparing staff packages and correspondence for NCTC senior leadership. Establish and manage liaison relationships with ODNI component offices, IC agencies, and other U.S. organizations.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member, and proactively manage competing priorities under strict deadlines.
Outstanding knowledge and skill in the application of office support computer applications for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, e-mail, calendars, and database storage/retrieval.
Strong knowledge of the IC mission, organization, roles, and responsibilities
Interpersonal skills and ability to build and sustain professional networks across organizational boundaries to exert influence.
Analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to think strategically and identify needs, requirements, and develop recommendations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member, and proactively manage competing priorities under strict deadlines.
5 years of Staff officer and Administrative Support Experience.
Education
Bachelor's Degree.
