As a Service Center Director, you will direct and evaluate operational activities within the Executive Office of the President Complex to assure that the occupants receive the proper level and kindof building services consistent with current General Services Administration operating policy, established by the Administrator of General Services.Location of position: Washington DC, National Capital RegionWe are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Formulates, develops, implements and maintains the White House Service Center policies, programs, plans, and objectives to effectively and efficiently plan for, manageand control the delivery of services and activities. Formulates, develops and implements the business strategies, plans, objectives, programs, and policies to effectively and efficiently manage the White House Service Center.
The delivery of project management and procurement related contract administration services associated with funded new construction projects for major renovation and/or modernization projects, repair and alteration projects, construction contracting, lease purchase and site purchase projects. Construction projects include all activities associated with procurement and oversight of Architect-Engineer (A&E) contracts for professional and related technical services; the evaluation of contractor performance, and the conduct of inspections of projects during and upon completion of construction.
Plan, develop, establish procurement strategies and provide advice and guidance on procurement related issues to the Director, Office of Facilities Management & Program Services, and the RC for PBS and the Regional Administrator for GSA, NCR. Represents the PBS/NCR regarding projects with numerous officials, groups and organizations both within and outside of GSA. Resolves problems raised by contractors or client agencies that affect ongoing projects. Maintains contact with customer agencies, local governments, labor groups, interested civic and business groups, etc.
Participates in conferences, consultations, planning and briefing sessions, etc. with policy formulating officials of NCR/PBS, contractors, equipment manufacturers and vendors, and other government agencies relative to plans and policies affecting the White House Service Center service delivery programs, operations and services.
Oversees and ensures the provision of quality customer service and support to a diverse customer base by the assessment of customer's needs and satisfaction of customer's expectations. Provides continuing interaction and response to customer needs, requirements, issues and problems. Understands and promotes both the GSA/NCR and PBS missions, programs, plans and policies to ensure client agency needs and requirements are met.

The GS-15 salary range starts at $163,964 per year.If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
Specialized experience is defined as experience in overseeing subordinate organizations with the responsibility to provide overall facilities management and operations support. Experience must include:
Advising others on the application of policies and procedures required to meet organizational and programmatic goals;
Advising other organizational representatives on issues that involve the application or tailoring of methods and procedures developed to optimize performance; and
Having a technical focus in one or more of the following areas: Leading Diverse Teams; High-Profile Customer Relationships; Complex Facilities and/or Project Management; and/or Communicating with Senior Executives.
