Duties
As a SUPERVISORY COMBATANT COMMAND REPRESENTATIVE at the GS-0301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Exercises the authority and completes the responsibilities and functions as the DTRA Director's principal representative to the Commander, USSPACECOM and their staff in the planning and/or execution of military operations consistent with functions and responsibilities directed in DTRA's Charter.
Assists staffs in understanding CBRN-D capabilities provided by DTRA, establishing liaisons to facilitate the integration of DTRA's CWMD capabilities with USSPACECOM and its components, and in planning and executing, as required, the Agency's combat support mission.
Serves as a DTRA's Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (C-WMD) to USSPACECOM. As a DTRA employee embedded in the USSPACECOM staff, maintains situational awareness of USSPACECOM operations, activities and initiatives; attends USSPACECOM and DTRA battle rhythm events and Operational Planning Teams (OPT), and ensures DTRA Directorates are apprised of and tracking relevant WMD geopolitical activities in the area of responsibility.
Assists with collaborating and executing DTRA Operations, Activities and Initiative in support of USSPACECOM.
Collaborates and coordinates relevant counter-WMD initiatives, activities and operations in the area of responsibility.
Responsible for providing guidance and oversight in developing situation reports (SITREPs) and other updates to the DTRA Director, and other products as required.
Maintains communication and liaison with USSPACECOM staff and its service components.
Advises and assists DTRA planners with design, planning and execution of the Agency's involvement in USSPACECOM's joint training events and joint exercises sponsored by the CJCS and the Combatant Command; ensures DTRA's capability to execute its combat support missions in support of key USSPACECOM plans and provides feedback to the Director through joint after-action reports, informing of potential impacts on the Agency's ability to provide required combat support for operating forces, and recommendations to resolve or mitigate the shortfall.
Assists in coordinating key leader engagements and correspondence, perform other duties as assigned, and represent DTRA in general at USSPACECOM.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
Experience representing an Agency in high level meetings and briefings on Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD).
Experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) with knowledge and experience with CWMD policy, operations, activities and CWMD threats and mitigations.
Possess higher-levels staff skills and experience supporting CWMD planning and conducting operations, training, policy refinement and preparation for senior leader engagements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
