Duties
Serve as a DLA point-of-contact (POC) for medical material Type I questions and complaints and takes necessary actions to mitigate and resolve problems and issues encountered.
Ensure integration with the DoD and Defense Health Agency (DHA) for the availability, high quality, and cost-effective delivery of pharmaceutical products and services.
These services are provided for DoD customers, Defense Health Agency (DHA) mail order pharmacy programs and other government agency customers during peacetime and wartime.
Conduct pre-award survey reviews of pharmaceutical/biological manufacturer/suppliers.
Evaluate manufacturers quality performance capabilities and quality control systems; makes recommendations regarding waivers/required reviews.
Research, gather, compile, and evaluate information about specific drug classes from clinical literature, pharmaceutical compendia, electronic media, clinical experts inside and outside DoD, and other sources.
Utilize extensive knowledge of complex scientific pharmaceutical principles, methods, and techniques in order to plan, develop, evaluate, and independently resolve complicated, unprecedented problems.
Serves as a technical control expert for a broad range of QA and reliability actions throughout the life cycle of assigned complex classification of drug and biological items to assure product suitability.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Pharmacist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Basic Education Requirement: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (https://www.opm.gov/leaving/index.aspx?link=https://www.acpe-accredit.org/) (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/) at the time the degree was obtained.
B. Licensure Requirement: Applicants must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
C. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. For current and former Federal civilian service employees, to qualify for the GS-12 grade level, specialized experience must be at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Apply analytical, investigative, qualitative and quantitative techniques and methods to conduct in-depth, complex, difficult, and far-reaching reviews and analysis of pharmacoeconomic problems and issues.
Identify, measure, and compare costs, risks and benefits of drug therapies.
Ability to communicate written and orally to respond to inquiries from a wide range of pharmacy benefit stakeholders such as consultants, leaders, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, medical logistics officers and supply technicians.
Develop and prepare reports and present product and services recommendations to customers and internal employees.
Ability to acquire updated information regarding new advanced technologies.
Determine the most clinically effective and safe method of drug delivery, such as appropriate route of administration, properties of the delivery system and intended pharmacological effect.
Perform drug class or disease state reviews, evaluate and analyze the literature to make recommendations for additions and deletions to the formulary, Readiness stockpiles, and other kits critical to Warfighters.
