About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.
Serves as the Theater Operations Floor Supervisor in the Regional Cyber Center-Center.
Duties
Responsible for actions necessary to secure and defend the RCC-C’s portion of the CONUS DODIN-Army and effectively use the Army Enterprise Infrastructure architecture and associated infrastructure and information systems assigned to the brigade.
Collect situation reports (SITREPs), Commander’s Critical Information Requirements (CCIRs), and Serious
Incident Reports (SIRs).
Provides analysis and situational awareness of reportable issues to supervisors, CG 7th SC (T), and NETCOM in accordance with established reporting procedures.
Maintains constant awareness of RCC-C, and SC(T), brigade and installation Directorate of Information Management (DOIM) activities warranting reporting to the 7th SC (T), RCC-CONUS, HQ NETCOM and ARCYBER.
Build Daily Operations Briefings for the 7th SC (T), RCC-C, and NETCOM
Translate relevant technical and programmatic information received from the Theater Operations Division Chief or higher authority into guidance and actions to be implemented.
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and schedules work for completion.
Assign work to subordinates based on selective considerations of such factors as the difficulty and requirements of assignments; availability, capability, and special qualifications of employees.
Establish and maintains contacts with other organizations within the Army and other government agencies in order to exchange information, obtain additional views, and coordinate efforts.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance eligibility with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Must successfully pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter, in accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
- The Investigation Requirement for this position is Tier 5. Position is designated as special sensitive.
- In accordance with DODM 8140.03, this position is an IAM Level II position.
- This position is subject to an on-call, 24x7 mission requirement and may be subject to rotating shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays in times of emergency or crisis.
- This position is designated Mission Essential.
- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- All IA personnel requiring a baseline and/or CE certification must obtain required
certification(s) within 6 months of assignment of IA duties.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must clearly describe the following quality experience:
reviewing and evaluating Internal Task Orders, External Task Orders, network Bulletins, Authorized Service Interruptions and/or other official messages for clarity, accuracy, and completeness; establishing and maintaining contacts with other information collecting and reporting organizations in order to exchange information, obtain additional views, and/or coordinate efforts; and overseeing and evaluating process related activities that facilitate monitoring, tracking, analyzing, and reporting operational activities.
The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
