Duties
Act as the principal office manager, managing the executive support services to include scheduling; travel management; senior level meeting coordination, preparation, facilitation, and data analysis.
Serve as a personal and confidential Executive Assistant to the Director and Deputy Director.
Interpret policies and regulations, make recommendation for internal policies and procedures, and provide guidance to the staff and subordinate teams.
Assess program accomplishments and identify administrative areas needing further policy guidance or interpretation.
Develop plans and objectives for assigned projects.
Initiate and conduct studies and analyses on projects, issues, and problem cases.
Review and direct actions required for incoming and outgoing correspondence, actions, meetings, and briefings.

Qualifications
To qualify for an Executive Assistant your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
GS-13
Providing administrative support services to executive level staff to include scheduling and travel management.
Interpreting policies and regulations and advising staff and subordinate teams.
Conducting studies and analyses on projects, issues and problem areas.
Developing plans and objectives for assigned projects.
GS-12
Providing administrative support services to staff/management to include scheduling and travel management.
Researching policies and regulations and making recommendations to resolve issues.
Assisting in the development of plans and objectives for assigned projects.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
