You will serve as the Deputy Director, Equal Employment Opportunity (DDEEO) in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. You will plan, organize, direct, staff, carry out, review and evaluate a proactive and preventative oriented EEO program. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.

Duties

You will provide complex, technical advice and guidance to senior military and civilian managers concerning the resolution of EEO complaints at the lowest level possible. You will coordinate the EEO complaints management program from the pre-complaint process through the formal complaint process including settlement resolution. You will plan and oversee administration of all aspects of the Alternative Dispute Resolution/ Reasonable Accommodation (ADR/RA) Programs e.g. providing guidance, consultation and developing objectives, policies, and procedures on all ADR/RA matters. You will plan, develop, implement and brief the MD 715 Report to Command managers and supervisors, evaluating accomplishments and identifying future objectives. You will provide technical assistance, supervision and leadership guidance to collateral-duty Special Emphasis Programs (SEP) managers and define SEP priorities and objectives and establish milestones for accountability and evaluation.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band (NT-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector executing and evaluating a civilian federal equal employment opportunity (EEO) program to include advising on the application of equal employment opportunity (EEO) program requirements and developing strategic initiatives and recommendations for senior leaders.
