About the Position: Serve as senior process manager responsible for implementing U.S. Army, Aviation and Missile Command logistic, maintenance, and product quality assurance oversight policies developed by ACLC Program Directorate at the Commands subordinate Aviation Center Logistics Command at Fort Novosel, AL.
Duties
Leads personnel engaged in directing, developing and/or implementing logistics policies, processes, initiatives and /or programs for major, highly complex weapon systems sustainment in the areas of Logistics Support.
Position requires incumbent to be knowledgeable of both maintenance and supply logistics requirements of at least two aircraft weapons systems (i.e. CH-47, UH-60, AH-64D, OH-58D, or TH-67) within the United States Army.
Has full responsibility for intensive management of the contract surveillance and oversight for several major complex aircraft weapons systems supporting training load.
Serves as the operations and maintenance expert in the surveillance and oversight of the weapon systems support plans.
Responsible for the evaluation of the logistics elements (i.e. maintenance, supply support, manpower and personnel, support and test equipment, computer resource support and packaging handling storage, transportation and facilities).
Ensures compliance with policies and recommends policy changes to fit operation requirements.
Responsible for performing various supervisory functions relative to the personnel assigned to the Airfield Division.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634,Subpart I USOGE, 6/08). Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-2/GS-11 level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Exercising full program responsibility for both maintenance and supply logistics requirements of US Army aircraft weapon systems; 2) Performing a full range of planning and providing guidance, leading management teams in formulating, developing and evaluating logistics readiness/aircraft availability and weapons system operational effectiveness; and 3) Full responsibility for intensive management of contract surveillance and oversight for several major complex aircraft weapon systems.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-2/GS-11.
