Duties

This position will allow you to use your expertise in administration to provide substantive clerical support to CBP management. This position starts at a salary of $45,412.00 (GS-06, Step 1) to $65,605.00 (GS-07, Step 10) with promotion potential to $65605 (GS-7 Step 10). Establishing, maintaining, and monitoring a variety of records and statistical data regarding administrative services provided Entering data into database programs; evaluating data for patterns, trends and generating various management reports Drafting local procedures for the organization, as requested Assisting in one or more administrative support areas which include budget, logistics and procurement, human resources, and records and files management Using various software packages such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases, desktop publishing, etc., to produce, store, and retrieve a variety of information and presentations

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-06 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: racking budget transactions such as obligations, expenditures, transfers and reimbursements in order to ascertain the status of funds. Coordinating and monitoring the organization's property management and space utilization programs. Entering personnel actions in appropriate automated systems, assuring that they are appropriate and complete. Maintaining current vacancy and onboard data and table of organization. Participating in preparing workload and productivity reports, gathering and compiling data to be used in evaluating areas for process improvements. Experience: You qualify for the GS-07 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Assisting in preparing budget requests by compiling data and by preparing justification statements based on information provided. Maintaining contact with offices having primary responsibility for administrative programs and obtaining the most up-to-date information on procedural requirements. Assisting with routine administrative matters, maintaining databases, identifying trends or patterns, and compiling narrative/data reports.
