About the Position: This is a military technician position with the 807th Medical Deployment Support Command (MDSC), Deputy Chief of Staff, Logistics, 807th Mission Support Element, MCP located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Duties

Determine equipment and facility requirements needed to support logistical operations. Prepare and compile reports reflecting funds status. Program execution of funds based on quarterly allocations. Advise on logistics status and type of logistics support required. Conduct staff assistance visits to render assistance and provide base operations support. Develop plans and instructions affecting logistical support of command operations in the areas of supply, services, and/or maintenance. Analyze and evaluate maintenance programs for compliance. Initiate request for contracts for various services relating to logistical support.

Requirements

  • This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
  • This position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment/Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
  • This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.

OR Education: Successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Logistics, Advanced Supply Chain Management, Business Law, and Service Management. (Note: you must attach your transcripts with your application package.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
