This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Field Operations - Region IV in Miami, FL. The Lead Outreach and Marketing Specialist is responsible for providing effective leadership, management and oversight required to optimize the deployment of SBA programs and services in the District and to achieve assigned goals.
Duties
Leadership and Management:
The Lead Outreach and Marketing Specialist spends at least 25% or more time of their time leading three or more full-time employees as a regular and recurring part of their assignments at the GS-12 level District Office staff specialists. Serves as a team leader and performs the following:
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen.

- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- Incumbent requires a valid drivers license (VDL).
Qualifications
GS-13: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
Establishing and monitoring program goals and leading a team toward achieving the goals; and
Evaluating the work of team members, including promoting employee development, resolving workplace issues, and allocating resources; and
In developing marketing strategy for programs and services and developing and delivering outreach, training, presentations and education on a variety of business and financial management topics; and
In building and managing collaborative alliances and partnerships with partners, economic development organizations and small businesses counseling individuals on business management; and
Providing program oversight and compliance reviews through consultative customer interaction.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled.
