This position is located in Yosemite National Park, in the office of the Superintendent. Open to the first 101 applicants or until 03/01/2024 whichever comes first. All applications submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the closing day will receive consideration.

Duties

This position is assigned to the Superintendent's office and include the following major duties: Management of a fast paced, politically sensitive, executive office that supports the park's superintendents and staff. Coordinates logistics for meetings, trainings, and events. Serves as a meeting facilitator. Develops office guidelines, standard operating procedures, and other policies to ensure consistency and appropriateness of business practices and ensure compliance with law, policy and regulations. Analyzes all correspondence prepared for the superintendent's signature for clarity, completeness of reply, and grammatical and procedural correctness. Provides IT troubleshooting support to the superintendent's office: equipment includes video conferencing hardware/software, copiers, phones, and printers.

All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-03/01/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of specialized experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. For all other applicants who are not current federal employees, your resume must state either "full-time" (or "40 hours a week") or "part-time" with the number of hours worked per week to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience. For periods of time that reflect military service, the DD-214 or Statement of Service is sufficient to meet the full and/or part-time hours requirement as the service dates will be reflected. GS-09 EXPERIENCE: To qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience may include but not limited to: (1) Serving as the primary administrative point of contact for an organization, providing direct support to managers and staff to enhance the overall operation and effectiveness of an organization from an administrative perspective; (2) Maintaining and monitoring integrated reporting systems for assigned programs and communicating relevant information to managers and staff for action or resolution; (3) Providing human resources information and assistance to managers and staff. You must include hours per week worked. You must include hours per week worked. -OR- EDUCATION: Completed a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree related directly to the work of the position, such as MBA or a LL.B. or J.D. Then take the number of months of full time experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You must include transcripts. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. ICTAP/CTAP Clearance: REMEMBER TO UPDATE THE "WHO MAY APPLY" FIELD- Current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special priority selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) must be well qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection. Well qualified means that the applicant meets the following: OPM qualification standards for the position; all selective placement factors, where applicable; special qualifying conditions that OPM has approved for the position, where applicable; is physically qualified with reasonable accommodation, where appropriate to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position upon entry; and is rated by the organization at least at the well qualified level on all competencies.
