About the Position: Performs a full range of transportation services for active duty military personnel, reserve components, and Department of Defense (DOD) civilians in connection with processing authorized personal property shipment/storage entitlements paid for at government expense.

Duties

Interprets individual's orders to determine and fully explain authorized entitlements and weight allowances to the member and/or their agent. Deems what is in the best interest of the government and owner in determining mode of shipment by estimated weight, cost factors, origin, destination, current regulations. Provides Do it Yourself (DITTY) / Personally Procured Move (PPM) entitlement briefs to all active duty members retiring or separating. Performs clerical and data entry tasks in support of above duties using the automated personal property system, computer, and a typewriter.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent may be required to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Incumbent must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Naci (T1).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
