The Office of the Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Policy, Management, and Procurement supports Department leadership in the formulation, development, and execution of policies and programs relating to the Internal Review and Evaluation Office, Office of General Counsel, Facilities and Administrative Services Staff, Department Ethics Office, Procurement Services Staff, Office of Records Management Policy, Office of Acquisition Management, and the Electronic Litigation Program.

The Senior Advisor to the Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Policy, Management, and Procurement (DAAG PMP) provides management advisory services to staff members. Organizes ad-hoc projects. Formulates findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Serves as an expert consultant on challenging program management issues. Delivers expert authoritative management advisory services regarding the development and modification of program strategies, business rules, work practices, and internal controls. Leads, conducts, or participates in complex management studies and reviews with significant effect upon program organizational structure, policy, processes, operations, fiscal control, and economy.

Requirements

  • You must be a United States Citizen or National.
  • You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.
  • You may be required to complete a one-year probationary or two-year trial period.
  • Selective Service registration is required for males born on or after 12/31/1959. Those not registered should have an approved exemption on file.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Senior Advisor at (GS-0301-15), you must possess the required specialized experience specific to the series and grade you're applying to. If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF-50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information). Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as: Advising senior leaders on management or administrative issues; Making research-based recommendations that significantly change, interpret, or develop major policies or programs; AND Implementing programs, plans, or proposals involving substantial agency resources or that require extensive changes in established procedures. You MUST meet all qualification requirements, including Time-in-Grade, by the closing date of this announcement, 03/01/2024.
