Duties
Provide engineering computer aided design (CAD) services in the preparation of design studies and/or complete detailed design layouts of major complex chemical and biological defense prototype systems.
Prepare project proposals and lead integrated project teams.
Prioritize and balance cost, schedule, and performance to meet the warfighters needs and project objectives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel is required up to 25% of the time.
- This position is being filled as a temporary promotion not to exceed one year and can be extended to 5 years and be converted to permanent without further competition.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) providing engineering computer aided design (CAD) services in the preparation of design studies and/or complete detailed design layouts of major complex chemical and biological defense prototype systems; and 2) Contributing to establishing project requirements and design optimization solutions; and 3) Assisting in prioritizing and balancing cost, schedule, and performance to meet project objectives.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
