About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned and-operated manufacturing center located in New York. It is the oldest, continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813.

Duties

Trains employees on team building and accounting principles, theories, techniques, and methodology. Ensures that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team’s strategies. Develops information papers, briefings, and presentations and assists with implementation meetings, including contacting key personnel, notetaking, and preparation of minutes. Leads and facilitates formal or ad-hoc teams in the formulation, development, and implementation of processes that evaluate, correct, and improve training, consulting, and administrative operations under the direction of the CPI Program Manager. Responsible for implementation of innovated productivity improvement tools, such as LSS. Conducts LEAN events such as Value Stream Analysis, (VSAs) and Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs).

  • This position has a data analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for data analytics level 2 certification within 24 months of being placed on the position.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
