Duties
Serve as the Associate Chief of the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support Division.
Plan, direct, coordinate, integrate, synchronize, develop, and implement Medical Supply Chain Business processes and system development activities.
Develop and implement solutions for the entire DoD Medical Supply Chain.
Serve as the Medical Customer and Supplier Operations liaison/spokesperson with private industry, military services, other medical customers, DoD, DLA, and data systems personnel worldwide.
Act as advisor through participation in working groups, Integrated Process/Planning Teams (IPT), and steering groups.
Provide strategic direction for data sharing policies and practices and responsible for the management of technology, systems, and process that promote sharing of data across the Supply Chain and industry.
Plan current and long-range objectives for program areas.
Responsible for the development of program cost and benefit assessments and for justifying the funding required to execute the program.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Business Systems Specialist your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Direct a staff of technical, multifunctional, and administrative personnel engaged in developing and implementing business and industrial medical systems.
Oversee functions necessary to develop, maintain, integrate and field electronic commerce/data interchange and business and industrial systems/applications that are compatible with private industry.
Identify and resolve customer concerns affecting the administration of high dollar/high visible contracts.
Understanding of programs and procedures in support of organizational requirements, missions, and functions.
Develop and/or enhance logistical management initiatives.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
