The selectee will serve as an Audio-Visual Production Specialist in the Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information (SII), Protective Intelligence and Assessment Division. Typical work assignments include:

Qualifications
You must meet the basic requirement(s) for this position. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Individual Occupational Requirements (IORs) for the Audiovisual Production Series, 1071 series are as follows:
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position. Advanced training in a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute above the high school level in one of the fields listed above is creditable as general experience on a month-for-month basis. OR
Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): Experience in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes work directly connected with the production aspects of the field(s) of the position to be filled.
IN ADDITION TO THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, YOU MUST ALSO MEET THE FOLLOWING SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Specialized experience is defined as:
You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting salary $117,962) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level performing duties, such as:
creating videos and multi-media productions to inform, educate and instruct others.
developing and implementing digital video, multimedia, and innovative technologies.
performing advanced editing techniques; and
providing guidance/advice on technical issues.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current competitive service employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. NOTE: All current or former Federal employees must provide a copy of their SF-50, "Notice of Personnel Action" that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF-50 must include your position, title, series, grade, step, tenure (1 or 2), and type of service (Competitive or Excepted). You may need to submit more than one SF-50 to comply.
