In this position you will serve as a Pass and ID clerk and issuance, of identification credentials/installation access passes to eligible personnel via Entry Authority Lists.

Processes applications and issues identification cards, vehicle registration, and temporary passes to eligible personnel. Receives and verifies personal identification data against authorization documents, and prepares identification cards, passes, vehicle permits, or other forms to authorize access
Assists with annual vehicle registration inspection and controlled/restricted area badge inventory; disposes of registration documentation as required and update database.
Instruct sponsors for special events on documents needed to assure visitor entrance to the base without delays.
Ensures accuracy and completeness of all documents prior to issuance to assure required eligibility and/or entry to the designated areas are identified.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Obtain and maintain security clearance.
- Physical required
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): approximately 5 days per year
- Knowledge of a wide range of security forces policies, procedures and practices related to administrative functions.
- 2 years of experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ability to conduct formal or informal presentations
- 2 years of experience with writing, formatting, and coordinating Department of Defense and Air Force plans or equivalent
- Excellent time management skills
- The employee will be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions located here
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NK-01 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experiences is processes applications and issues identification cards, vehicle registration, and temporary passes to eligible personnel, prepares a wide variety of recurring correspondence, internal reports, and other documents from information obtained from the staff, files, and other sources and reviews and finalizes documents prepared by others, reviews and processes incoming and outgoing correspondence, materials, publications, regulations, and directives, performs fingerprinting for new and updated security clearances and other clerical support, and maintains controlled forms.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of security processes and procedures and general clerical office functions.
Knowledge of personnel security clearances and investigations processes and the procedures, forms, and
information required to verify against authorization documents, issue badges, passes, vehicle permits, or other forms of authorization.
Knowledge of one or more automated databases associated with a specific security function to recognize, locate, and insert data/information, support office and security operations, and produce a variety of documents and reports.
Ability to plan and organize work, follows instructions, and accomplishes multiple ongoing projects.
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, using a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
A qualified typist is required.
Maintains a comprehensive access data base and produces a wide variety of reports. Ensures all reports are filed with the appropriate office(s).
Ability to locate, assemble, and compose information for reports, inquiries, and non-technical correspondence.
Ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines.
