You will serve as a Supervisory General Supply Specialist of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will implement environmental control policies, laws, rules, and regulations at the federal, state, host country, and local level. You will use analytical data in order to analyze the effectiveness of the operation and resolve difficult issues and problems involving reviewing work methods and dealing with day-to-day operational procedures. You will provide expertise in hazardous waste identification, processing, environmental reporting. You will serve as one of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) trainers for the organization. You will plan the work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Determining customer requirements in accordance with inventory management policies, procedures and techniques; 2) Developing and implementing procedures and practices to ensure compliance with HAZMAT regulations; 3) Identifying, processing, and reporting on all hazardous material reutilization efforts; 4) Advising others on HAZMAT storage requirements and regulations, labeling requirements and storage compatibility in keeping with applicable directives. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree

OR

Successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
