Duties

You will be responsible for the initiation, development and recommendation of range scheduling policies, procedures, processes, guidance and control for the assigned range schedule to be implemented and executed. You will conduct extensive and continuous personal contact within the range in order to acquire or disseminate information, make recommendations and/or defend previous recommendations. You will coordinate and review plans and range schedules for the execution of all training and testing events to be conducted at Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) and other remote sites. You will plan for mission accomplishments considering facilities, equipment, manpower, capabilities and budget limitations. You will develop procedures for contractor range scheduling support requirements.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and coordinating all aspects of range scheduling operations by identifying scheduling conflicts and recommending schedule changes to ensure a safe training and testing environment.
