You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FACILITIES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the LOGISTICS AND INFRASTRUCTURE READINESS DEPARTMENT (N4) of SURFCOMSYSTRNCMD GREAT LAKES.

Duties

You will direct the execution of all equipment maintenance actions and advise the Commanding Officer on all equipment and building facilities actions, requirements, repairs, and improvements. You will oversee project planning and develop and review construction project scopes to completion of installation. You will manage the specific technical equipment related to courses of instruction, programs, and projects by ensuring proper management, performance, and administration. You will analyze data and reports on a wide range of logistics related issues. You will ensure proper management and accountability of accountable assets.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing administrative services for the maintenance, repair and modifications within an agency's or organization's Facility Management Program; 2) Utilizing a supply support program to manage inventory; 3) Maintaining accurate tracking of space utilization and ensuring square footage/dimensions are accurate for future planning; 4) Producing documents, charts, presentations to meet deadlines; 5) Providing advice or instructions to others on technical or administrative matters. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related

or

Equivalent combinations of education as shown above and experience.
