About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the HHBN V Corps G-2 Security & Intelligence Division, Fort Knox, KY, 40121-5000.
Duties
Oversees the Command’s Cybersecurity requirements, processes, and solutions for G2 systems and networks processing at sensitivity classification levels of information.
Responsible for leading the G2's Cyber Security Program, tracking and reporting on information systems compliance.
Acts as subject matter expert on policy and program management for the V Corps G2 Information Systems Security Program.
Leads V Corps G2’s JWICS (Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System) system and network certification and accreditation program.
Provides input to internal and external Cybersecurity working groups and other units concerning Information Technology (IT), Information Assurance (IA), Risk Management Framework (RMF) and computing environments.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required at 15% or less of the time.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- May be required to carry a cell phone or pager when in an on-call status.
- Required satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position as outlined in DoD Publication 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, dated 19 December 2005.
- This is an Emergency Essential (E-E) position as part of the DoD Civilian Expeditionary Workforce in support of mobilization and the wartime mission.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Specialized experience is defined as managing Cyber Security computer incident coordination and notification, with focus on interest in prevention and protection, from computer intrusions and countermeasures with/corrective actions.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11).
