About the Position: To serve as a Supervisory Transportation Specialist with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Duties

Serve as advisor to the Installation Transportation Officer (ITO). Act as an Official Passport and Visa Agent. Supervise the Passenger Travel Sections personnel, Provides Quality Assurance and Government Oversight for the Personal Property, Non-Tactical Vehicle (Tactical Motor Pool) Fleet, and Freight Services. Develop and maintain operating procedures which concern more than one area, to provide consistency in the application of entitlements and services provided to customers. Apply knowledge of transportation management policies and practices of the specialized functions of Personal Property, perform Quality Assurance oversight, and supervise Passenger Travel employees in support of traffic management. Advise units/travelers of authorized routings to destination (domestic and worldwide) involving air, commercial or military bus, Government vehicle, special conveyance, or rail. Counsel travelers and Commanders on the proper use of Government-procured commercial tickets, transportation requests, meal tickets and proper disposal procedures of unused travel documents. Review requests and orders for requesting official ground transportation for group movements, requests and obtains funds necessary for daily operating the passenger services section.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
