The primary purpose of this position: To serve as administrator and technical expert for the 16 AF Military Personnel Division's Military Personnel Data Systems (MILPDS).

The organizational location of this position is: HQ 16 AF (AFCYBER), Manpower Personnel and Services (A1), JBSA Lackland, Texas.
Duties
DUTY 1: Administers and maintains assigned systems, including internet-based, Citrix-based and Oracle-based Military Personnel Data System (MilPDS) applications, and Defense Civilian Personnel Data Systems (DCPDS) applications and provides technical support and advisory services.
DUTY 2: Provides personnel systems management advisory services.
DUTY 3: Administers 16 AF Readiness Programs.
DUTY 4: Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments.

- This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
- The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge in the concepts, principles, and techniques of the various functional areas of the civilian personnel program. Recommend and design products for use by other civilian personnel functional areas and provide advice to personnel specialists and managers. Knowledge of systems integration methods, performance tuning methods, test and evaluation methods and procedures, IT security principles and methods, and project management principles and methods sufficient to plan and coordinate the installation of new products or equipment. Knowledge of configuration management methods and techniques for integrating information system components sufficient to install and maintain software and hardware, optimize functionality of systems, and diagnose and recover failed systems. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of automated data processing functions, techniques, and capabilities including relational database principles; Structured Query Language (SQL), microcomputer operation, the network operating system, DCPDS and MilPDS.
2. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, techniques, standards, processes, and guides of personnel management and ability to relate to personnel systems.
3. Skills in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working-out solutions to problems or questions relating to work.
4. Ability to gather facts and use effective analytical and evaluative methods to accurately assess information and
make sound decisions.
5. Ability to develop improvements and design new personnel work methods and procedures using automated systems.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
