Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as planning and implementing business operations policies and/or strategies to support program objectives; and providing guidance to internal/external stakeholders on operational decisions.
To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as planning and implementing business operations policies and/or strategies to support program objectives; providing guidance to internal/external stakeholders on operational decisions; and coaching, mentoring, and leading others.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Knowledge of administrative policies, programs, and processes; 2) Skill in planning and implementing projects/programs; 3) Ability to perform supervisory duties; 4) Skill in workforce and succession planning; 5) Skill in conducting program resources and policy analyses; 6) Skill in written communication; 7) Ability to provide guidance on business operations; 8) Skill in oral communication across diverse audiences.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
