This position is located in National Training Center (NTC), in Pheonix, Arizona. The NTC carries out the design, development, and delivery of training courses and progress for the BLM and other Agencies. This position is concurrently open to Merit Promotion eligibles under Announcement Number ST-12277603-24-EB.

Duties

For GS-08, Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level. Provide technical assistance in planning and administration of Instructor led and online distance learning training courses and classes which use virtual platforms (i.e. Zoom) and other current technology. Assist in developing guidelines, instructional methods, course materials, training aids, and new/modified applications of educational technology. Distribute pre and post course materials such as surveys, evaluations, and needs assessments to gather information and summarize data, Assist in the development of new training products and services. Use visual, written and oral media to inform and entertain students.

Qualifications

n order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. If qualifying based on education, a copy of your unofficial transcripts must be provided with your application. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying: For GS-08, Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to theGS-07 level in the Federal Service. Examples include: 1. Assisting a training instructor in planning, and organizing instructor led and distance learning classes. 2. Using automated systems to track procurement actions. 3. Assisting with setting up webinar and other technological learning applications, and 4. Drafting course valuation statements and tracking responses. For GS-09, Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to theGS-08 level in the Federal Service. Examples include: 1. Conducting webinar and other technological learning applications with little oversite. 2. Preparing a training course budget, which includes purchasing necessary supplies, tracking expenses, and reconciling the budget at the end of the course. 3. Preparing pre- and post-course evaluations, and 4. Conducting analysis of course evaluations. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as "varies".
