This position is located in the Office of Military Commissions (OMC), Office of the Chief Prosecutor (OMC-P), in the National Capital Region. The incumbent serves as the primary full-time civilian OMC-P Operations representative at the OMC-P Headquarters, providing logistics and administrative support, including facilities and security support, for OMC-P trial/hearing operations and will be required to travel to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to provide support during military commission hearings.
Duties
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:
Serves as liaison for administrative, Information Technology, database management, transportation and logistics issues.
Serves as Supply Coordinator and Government Purchase Card Holder, responsible for assessing, processing, coordinating, and signing requests for supplies and services, equipment and furnishings, and for making trouble calls, preparing and coordinating requisition forms, and maintaining an inventory of accountable property.
Receives missions and implied tasks and ensures requirements are staffed and worked in coordination with specific personnel or functional elements to accomplish in a timely manner.
Establishes and maintains dialogue with higher headquarters and subject matter specialists throughout the organization to assess progress and status of projects, coordinate operations, and provides expertise and recommendations on a wide variety of operational projects.
Prepares reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information for the Chief of Operations.

You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates experience in:
1) Managing the day-to-day administrative support and operations functions such as human resources, logistics, and travel; 2) Developing work methods and policies in the area of responsibility; And 3) Conducting studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve work processes.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
