About the Position: This position is located in the Military Personnel Division (MPD), Madigan Army Medical Center Office Tacoma, Washington. Tacoma is a diverse city nestled between Seattle and the state capital of Olympia. Tacoma is located on the shores of Commencement Bay, within pristine eyesight of Mount Rainier. World-class museums, hotels and theaters draw thousands to downtown Tacoma while the shores of the Puget Sound and Mount Rainier inspire outdoor enthusiasts.

Duties

Serve as a customer service representative for Madigan Army Medical Center. Assist customers with personnel matters and actions. Ensure the most current and accurate information is available in personnel systems. Responsible and held accountable for personnel actions. File all newly assigned personnel files based on the organization in which they are attached to. Coordinate and conduct the semi-annual Soldier Readiness Planning. Manage distribution on all in and out going correspondence. Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks of all staff file folders.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
