This position is placed in the Intelligence and Plans Directorate (IP).

Duties

This position may be filled at either GG-13 or GG-14 grade level, please indicate the grade for which you want to be considered. Incumbent may be advanced non-competitively to the established target grade upon meeting developmental benchmarks, performance requirements, and other requirements, as applicable established for the career program or specifically for the incumbent. As an INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties:

Qualifications

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, and will typically be demonstrated by working at, or immediately below the level of the job being advertised, for a year or more. The previous work experience must clearly demonstrate the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-13 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience with nuclear weapons threats and emerging technologies, to include nuclear weapons, space, and related delivery systems. Experience with the Intelligence Community, including intelligence requirements, collection, analysis, production, and dissemination. Experience communicating effectively both orally and in writing. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience assisting with current nuclear weapons threats and emerging technologies, to include nuclear weapons, space and related delivery systems. Experience assisting with the Intelligence Community, including intelligence requirements, collection, analysis, production, and dissemination. Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for GG-14 & GG-13 grade level.

GG-14: This position prefers a minimum of a Master of Science degree or Doctoral degree in Nuclear, Delivery System or Space related field.

GG-13: This position prefers a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in a Nuclear, Radiological, Missile or Space field preferred. A Master of Science degree in related field is preferred.
