THIS IS AN ARIZONA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA). This position is part of the AZ 161st Air Refueling Wing, Arizona National Guard under Position Description Number PDT5303000.

Duties

This position is located at 161st ARW in Phoenix, Arizona. The purpose of the position is to serve as the family readiness and support services representative at an ANG Wing and coordinate concurrently with the Wing Commander and Director of Staff at each wing, Joint Force Headquarters - State (JFHQ-ST) Family Program Director, NGB Family Programs Office, and US Air Force/Major Command (MAJCOM) Family Readiness Directors. The incumbent provides assistance to the Wing leadership in the development and implementation of a family readiness and support program and provide family readiness assistance at the geographic separated unit(s) (GSU).

Requirements

• Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
• Participation in the Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer Program.
• May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
• Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Incumbent must possess and maintain a current state driver’s license.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance within one year of appointment.
• Irregular (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures.
