This position is part of the Office of Environmental Management - Consolidated Business Center, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will serve as a cost and schedule estimator and risk assessment specialist responsible for the preparation and review of integrated resource-loaded life cycle and/or project schedules and risk assessment of EM Cleanup activities.

- This position does not support 100% remote work. You will be required to report physically to the official reporting worksite as specified by the supervisor, but no less than 2 days per pay period.

- Positions may be covered by a bargaining unit. Bargaining unit will vary by departmental element, grade, and/or location.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR GS-12: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Providing technical advice on appropriate methods of analysis and evaluations to accomplish office mission and management strategy and reporting the findings/recommendations to management.; AND
Analyzing and evaluating new policies to determine their impact on the organization to make recommendations for improvement.; AND
Conducting research developing administrative reporting systems/tools.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR GS-13: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Preparing and reviewing integrated resource-loaded life cycle or project schedules and risk assessments of Cleanup activities.; AND
Developing recommendations in technical scheduling and risk management initiatives.; AND
Applying quantitative and qualitative methods, management and project management principles, or analytical techniques and review processes for assessment and improvement of programs and organizations.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
